Mereon Media Servers
Movius offers two media server options the Mereon 6000 Media Server for carriers and the Mereon 3000 Media Server for enterprises and carriers with smaller subscriber bases.
Built for high-speed, high-volume media processing, the Mereon 6000 is for service providers who want fully customized sizing and capacity combined with mix-and-match service and features. Carriers can now effortlessly deploy a variety of high-margin enhanced services on standard PSTN and next-generation networks — simultaneously offering enhanced services to both existing legacy subscribers and new broadband subscribers, fully leveraging their investments.
Offering the same technology as the Mereon 6000 Media Server, the Mereon 3000 Media Server also enables enterprises and Tier 2 and Tier 3 carriers to effortlessly deploy a variety of enhanced services on standard PSTN and next-generation networks by offering bundled packaging with pre-configured universal ports. The platform makes migration so seamless there is no interruption of service, encouraging fast adoption.
Both servers are based on a modular design that allows providers to add additional media or speech processing cards without any service interruption to the subscribers. The Mereon 6000 platform scales from as few as 100 ports to more than 10,000 ports in a single 14RU shelf, making it one of the highest-density, carrier-class service delivery platforms in the industry. The Mereon 3000 scales from 100 ports to 400 ports.
In addition, the servers offer carrier-class reliability and availability, support for all open and standardized protocols, can be controlled by any softswitch or application server, and are designed to facilitate implementation of third party development without additional changes to the software framework—thus promoting customization for enhanced services.
