IP Unity Glenayre® to Deliver Three Presentations at IT EXPO West and Green Technology World Conference
Senior Vice President and Principle Engineer to Speak on Unified Communications, Best Practices in Service Creation and Alleviating the Carbon Footprint of Corporate TravelDULUTH, Ga — September 6, 2007— IP Unity Glenayre, Inc., a leader in delivering carrier-grade messaging and multimedia solutions over IP, TDM and enterprise networks, today announced that key company experts will be delivering a total of three presentations at two separate conferences running at the same time at the Los Angeles Convention Center, September 9-11. The conferences, IT EXPO West and Green Technology World Conference, run simultaneously and are both managed by Technology Marketing Corporation.
IT EXPO West is billed as an event with an educational program that teaches enterprises, SMBs, and government agencies how to select and deploy IP-based voice, video, fax, and unified communications, as well as a venue where service providers can learn how to profitably roll out services that their subscribers are clamoring for.
Stan Little, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Business Development for IP Unity Glenayre, will represent the company in a panel discussion on Future Trends in Unified Communications on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Participants will discuss current trends and focus on future directions for unified communications, separating the hype from reality and explaining how unified communications is about to become not just a “killer app,” but a true business necessity. The discussion will address advancements in collaboration, communications, and mobility for the workforce, as well as how these solutions work together to reduce latency in human communications.
Ian Moraes, Principle Engineer in the office of the CTO at IP Unity Glenayre, will speak about Best Practices in Service Creation, on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, from 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. This presentation will discuss how operators and developers can use Web 2.0 strategies and best practices to promote the development of rich converged IMS services that encompass messaging, media and mobility. Using examples from application domains such as unified communications, video portals and enhanced messaging, the discussion will reference IMS architectural functions such as SIP AS, SCIM, GUP Server and interfaces as well as supporting industry client frameworks.
“We are very pleased to participate at IT EXPO West and to address what is an exciting evolution in the communications industry,” said Little. “Unified Communications will be the next service provider offer to benefit from the convergence of messaging, media and mobility.”
Running simultaneously to IT EXPO West, the Green Technology World Conference focuses on the use of modern technologies to help businesses minimize environmentally unfriendly business practices. This is the inaugural weekend for this conference, which features prominent keynote speakers, educational sessions, round table discussions, and an exhibit hall consisting of companies who provide environmentally friendly technological solutions.
Little will also deliver a presentation at the Green Technology World Conference entitled Alleviating the Carbon Footprint of Corporate Travel though Conferencing, Collaboration and Video Conferencing. Utilizing a carbon footprint calculator, Little will create a case study on how small to medium sized enterprises can reduce their carbon footprint using conferencing, collaboration and video conferencing. The case study will calculate how many tons of carbon dioxide are generated by a business through automobile and air travel, then show how conferencing, collaboration and video conferencing can reduce carbon dioxide production through a single implementation. The presentation will also show how those savings can dramatically multiply when service providers become “green providers” and increase their productivity and cost efficiencies through scalable collaboration and conferencing services. Time and date for this presentation are Tuesday, September 11, 2007, from 1:45 to 2:15 p.m.
