IP Unity Appoints VP of European Sales, Expands EMEA Team

Increased Presence at VON Europe Signals Region’s Growing Significance to IP Unity

San Jose, CA — May 11, 2006— IP Unity, the leader in carrier-grade media servers, application servers and real-time multimedia applications for IP and TDM networks, announced today that it has appointed Stefan Beck as Vice President of EMEA Sales to oversee the sales function of the region. The company has also doubled the size of its sales and support EMEA team in the last twelve months, to parallel its market expansion plans for the FMC, wireless, broadband and enterprise segments. With many of its over 100 customers in EMEA, IP Unity has set up offices in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Israel and most recently in Russia, to ensure local presence to support its customers.

Stefan joins IP Unity from Chiaro Networks, where he was Vice President of EMEA Sales. As the first international senior executive at that company, he was responsible for breaking into the European market as well as recruiting and managing the sales, marketing and technical experts in Europe. He has also held lead positions at Procket Networks, Redback Networks and Cisco Systems.

The IP Unity EMEA team will travel to Stockholm from their various locations across the region to be at VON Europe next week, from May 15 – 18. The establishment of an EMEA-based team with a hybrid mix of deep business, engineering and technical expertise helps to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. These individuals well understand the various network architectural and application needs of the region and have the resources to successfully and promptly meet customer demands.

IP Unity will be exhibiting at its booth, #408 and will demonstrate its Mereon® solutions including click to conference, click to call, Mereon Color Ring Back Tone (CRBT) and Mereon Video Messaging. Exhibit hours are Tuesday, May 16th from 2 to 6pm, Wednesday, May 17th from 10am to 4pm and Thursday, May 18th from 10am to 2pm. The company has also been invited to speak on a VON Europe panel addressing IMS applications.
