EarthLink Deploys IP Unity for Voicemail and Unified Messaging

MILPITAS, Calif — October 31, 2005— EarthLink, the nation’s next generation Internet Service Provider, announced today that it has deployed IP Unity’s Mereon™ 6000 Media Server, Mereon Application Server and Mereon Unified Messaging to support voicemail and unified messaging services for EarthLink’s trueVoiceSM and Line Powered Voice services.

The Mereon 6000 Media Server, Applications Server and messaging applications will be used for voice services delivered to EarthLink subscribers, as well as to non-EarthLink users under a “Bring Your Own Broadband” scenario. In addition, the IP Unity platform will deliver N-Way Audioconferencing, Interactive Voice Response and Announcements within the EarthLink network.
