IP Unity’s Mereon Media Server has been deployed in 30 countries for messaging, conferencing, IVR, announcements, prepaid and debit enhanced services. IP Unity has been selected for very large-scale service rollouts by leading RBOCs, top-tier cable operators and influential, high-growth international wireless and incumbent carriers.

“The Mereon family of products has a powerful track record of helping carriers to generate customer loyalty and revenues via must-have enhanced services like messaging and interactive voice response. Today’s feature enhancements make the platform instrumental in driving new service revenues and further improving ROI on carrier infrastructures,” said IP Unity CEO and Chair Arun Sobti. “Our latest results show extremely strong expansion within existing customer deployments. We know the economic benefits are real for our carrier customers, as we see the traffic and revenues enabled by the Mereon platform growing quarterly.”

“Application servers and media servers play a key role in bringing much sought-after new services to market -- also the chief driver for carrier adoption of VoIP,” said Kevin Mitchell, Directing Analyst, Service Provider Voice & Data, Infonetics Research. “Messaging and conferencing are two highly-demanded feature sets by carriers and are key building blocks for services. End-users have shown a willingness to pay for these services. This new feature set shows that IP Unity continues to enhance their offerings in this critical market segment.”

The company has also announced its three-phase IMS capabilities delivery roadmap, and the introduction of the Mereon 3000 Media Server, targeted to smaller carrier and enterprise deployments. IP Unity will demonstrate new technology implementations at SUPERCOMM 2005, in booth 74050.
